“Polite living”. It’s a phrase we’ve been hearing a lot for a while now.

By paying attention to the little things in life, you can enjoy your own way of life and feel more relaxed. With a little ingenuity, the ordinary home can become your favourite space, and routine chores can become more pleasant.

But it can take time, effort and money to achieve such a lifestyle. It’s hard to keep track of your life when you’re so busy. So, how do you achieve a ‘polite life’?

This time, we’d like to introduce you to 「FRESH shareAKATSUKA」, located in Itabashi Ward, Tokyo, which reopened in April 2021 with a clean and fresh feel.

The living room has the warmth of a café, and is decorated with unique pictures, creating a very stylish atmosphere. The rooms are spacious thanks to the hanger bar, and there is a lovely device in the room number. There are also various other devices in the house, and it is exactly the kind of place that encourages you to take the first step towards “careful living”.

Without trying too hard on your own, you can enjoy a luxurious lifestyle from the start, which is one of the great things about living in a share house.

Let’s take a look inside the house right away!

This living room was inspired by the atmosphere of California.

The spaciousness of the room, with its woody materials and lack of partitions, creates a vintage and liberating feeling, typical of California. By the way, the stylish picture illuminated by downlights was chosen by the president himself.

It’s a calm space with a playful and colourful atmosphere, which will make you forget your fatigue and add flowers to your life.

A space where everyone can gather together, and the exchange that comes from that is the true appeal of a share house.

“You can’t play a symphony alone, it takes an orchestra to play it.”

Nowadays, the concept of living in a share house has become more and more trending. A place where you can share with people from many places, not only from Japan but around the world, is really fascinating. And if you add the amazing concepts that share house owners are creating for each space, the idea of living there just sounds perfect.

Share Houses gather a full canvas of people with many different kinds of interests. Some of them might be looking for a spacious kitchen where to create new delicious dishes, others could be interested in the multicultural exchange and some others could be looking for a place where to develop their passion for arts. Whatever they are looking for, there would be always a share house that can meet their expectations.

On this occasion, I would like to talk about a particular share house located in Mukaihara that was thought for those who love music. In Japan, were music studios might be kinda pricy or a house with a soundproof room almost impossible to find, “Otowa Kotake Mukaihara” appears as an option to not only enjoy music but also live in a community. Even the name was perfectly chosen to convey this concept. “Otowa”, comes from “OTO” which means “Sound” (music) + “WA” which essentially identifies the main topic of the sentence. The name explains this house itself, right? It’s all about music.

For more details about “Otowa Kotake Mukaihara” please click here!

The living room is the main stage

As I said before, “Otowa Kotake Mukaihara” was specially designed under the concept of “music lover”. It isn’t just for those who enjoy good music but for those which music is part of their life. The distinctive feature in this share house is the two soundproof rooms that can be freely used by its 20 residences.

Mr. Tanaka: “In Otowa Kotake Mukaihara, events can be held easily so I decided to schedule it in advance and move according to my feelings. It’s attractive to be able to play music whenever you want. ”

Mr. Tanaka, who woke up to the pleasure of playing music when he was a student, proposed the concept of “Otowa Kotake Mukaihara” as a place where music lovers gather and create their life theme. I’m glad to see that his vision seems to have been realized.

Mr. Tanaka: “Recently, it seems to be trendy to record cover songs of popular artists, etc., and uploaded them on SNS, like youtube or Instagram”.

Mr. Sanaka: “Our residents also like to record covers in the music room, some times they are the one who plans the whole production and some other times the house operator takes part and help them with the production.”

It’s admirable the participation of the house manager in the activities of the share house. It’s also a great advantage for the residents who feel the support in every activity they plan. After all, the music gathers people together and the proof of this is the big whiteboard leaning against the wall with all the events and schedules planned.

“It would be nice to rent a hall somewhere to perform a concert,” said Mr. Tanaka with a huge smile. I could tell how much he loves music by listening to his happily talk about the future in “Otowa Kotake Mukaihara”. So leave your schedule open because live performances are coming soon!

The Ekoda area, where Otowa is located, is a music town. There are many schools where you can learn music, including Musashino College of Music and Nihon University College of Art. You can feel the musical vibes every day from morning to night in this neighborhood.

resistant, attention to design detail, etc. Everyone’s sure to have a different idea of the perfect or ideal home. Even if some of the ideas aren’t the most accommodating, I think for some it’s more about adding a sense of charm to a home, or simply prioritizing form over function. However, I think “comfort” is a keyword you can’t do without.

Today I’ll be introducing you to the newly opened women’s share house “Oyama Fine”, a 4 minute walk from Itabashi Kuyakusho Mae Station, and a 9 minute walk from Oyama station. This share house not only pursues new concepts, but also emphasizes comfort, cleanliness, and security to ensure women can live peacefully and safely.

Looking at the house’s name, the word “Fine” means not only “magnificent, fantastic, or refined”, but also “fine” like the weather, or “fine” details in a design. As the name of the house implies, it’d be great to enjoy a “fantastic” and “refined” share house life with friends, in an environment with the essentials for practical living firmly in place. For those seeking a place to stay near Oyama, care to take a peek?

For a closer look at the house, continue on below!

Fine Select manages many women’s share houses in the metropolitan area, and when talking with them, their tactful correspondence was very impressive. When living in a share house, I’m sure there are times when it’s difficult to talk directly with other residents about certain things, and with primarily female staff visiting to check on things, I think it’s much easier for residents when they need to about any problems that arise.

Actually visiting the share house to experience it firsthand, I felt it could be best described as “tranquil” or perhaps “cozy.” The house wasn’t needlessly decorated, but seems focused on comforts that make practical living possible. Someday I’d like to talk with the residents and see what they think.

To those who’d like to live in a safe, peaceful environment with other women. Those who’d like to try a share house, but find living with others a tough obstacle to overcome. Those interested in social exchange, but still want to live at their own pace. This is a share house I’d like to recommend to you. If you’re thinking “maybe a share house isn’t a bad idea,” you may want to stop by and take a look for yourself, and get a feel for the atmosphere of the house.

If you notice, small changes from day to day could lead to a magnificent, fantastic, more refined you.

Fully furnished, cheap rent, spacious rooms, a stylish interior design, good management ,etc.

When making great effort to start a new life, people get hung up on finding a house or lifestyle close to their ideal vision, and without compromise continue hoping that they find it.

However, when you find a good location the rent tends to be high. On the other hand, you wouldn’t want to live in a place that’s inconvenient either. So instead of trying to find a good house, why not instead try looking for a “good home”?

The share house I’d like you to look at today is “Casa de kei Narimasu” managed by KOKEN ASSET FORTRESS.

There may be a few of you who are not familiar with the area, but Narimasu is located in the Itabashi ward of Tokyo. Taking the express or local express from here, it’s just 10 minutes and 1 station over from Ikebukuro.

After talking with the manager, it turns out that “You can get to Shinjuku in 20 minutes changing trains only once, and if you take the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line, you can get to Shibuya without changing trains in 30 minutes. The easy access to main terminals is one of the attractions of this location. For ease of living, this spot is one of the best-kept secrets of the 23 wards of Tokyo.”

When actually visiting Narimasu, you’ll find a supermarket and many places to eat in front of the station, along with all the basic needs for living. The share house is conveniently located just a 2 minute walk from the station, and walking not too far away from the station there’s a Shinto shrine and park with lush greenery. While reasonably meeting today’s expectations for living, it’s a place where you can lead a quiet and simple life.

This time you’ll be looking at a place that I think people are sure to like after living here: Casa de kei Narimasu. So let’s get started.

Casa de Kei Narimasu, while not having the most sophisticated facilities or a unique concept, has all the furniture and facilities essential for moving in, and with a security system in place along with 2 main lounge areas, I felt this was a share house where you can live peacefully yet safely at your own pace. While work and studies are important, I think this is a good share house to consider for those who’d also like to enjoy socializing at their own leisure.

Of course, deciding on where to live is very important, so there’s also sure to be a lot of people who consider it’s convenient access to the city as important.

Choosing a place to live is not something to be decided with little forethought, and whether one likes the atmosphere of the town or its scenery varies from person to person, so offering advice is not easy to do. Nevertheless, the shopping complex around the station offers more choices for one’s lifestyle, and I think there’d be just enough commute time on the train to take a moment and sort out your thoughts.

If any readers are interested, I’d like you to check out this share house as well as take a walk around and see the town.

The book “Train Your Spirit”, a self-development book written by the soccer player Makoto Hasebe was fairly popular not too long ago. In that book, he wrote that to bring order and stability to both your job and your life, “the mind is not something to be forged, but to be cleansed.”When visiting Casa de Kei Narimasu, it reminded me of how important it is to maintain balance in the way you live.

I think the fine details of everyday living such as the faces and voices of people passing by, and the busy streets they walk on add color to one’s life. And on the other side of the door at Casa de Kei Narimasu, a refreshing “welcome home” will be waiting for you. Thinking about that, one could say there’s a rich life to be had here.

Having experienced life studying abroad, with a glimmer in her eye the manager told us “living together in a share house is without a doubt much more fun than living alone.” Looking back on her experience, she believed that “through mutual respect for one another, people can learn many things living together.” Based on this premise, she established The Ikebukuro Otome Share House.

Hearing this story, you can tell they want tenants to have an experience that’s much more fun and meaningful than could be had living alone, and also get a sense of the courteous hospitality that can be expected living there. Even if you stop by to get a look at the life here, it’s not about half-hearted retorts of “I’m home” and “welcome back” and conversation, but residents making use of what they know to do things such as learn how to cook together, improve their English, and other craftworks to better improve themselves. In other words, through living here they can improve themselves as women. This is the Ikebukuro Lady’s House, with an appealing atmosphere combining Eastern and Western elements.

Although the Ikebukuro Lady’s House utilizes 3 rooms which cannot accommodate a large number of people, the manager’s reasoning is that it creates a more relaxed and natural living situation for residents allowing everyone to quickly open up to each other. Above all, the manager herself loves share houses, so she doesn’t see herself as just a manager but will also be there to support residents in troubled times.

The share house is only 5 minutes away from Shimoitabashi Station, and the manager’s office is also within walking distance. For women from across the region who’ve come to Tokyo, those who feel uneasy about living alone, or simply feel uncomfortable living in a larger share house, we believe you’ll be very happy living here.

At the time of this article’s publishing, 10/21/2011 (Fri), one room is expected to be available, so those who are interested please be sure to inquire.
