“The most important one is the score of the break in the game as a life.“

In the early 19th century, French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte stressed the importance of spending his “leisure” (or “off”) time at home rather than on the battlefield.

It’s true that many of us have become so busy with our daily lives that our homes have become places where we just sleep. You want to play, but you don’t have the time. You want to start a hobby, but you don’t have the money. You can’t concentrate on your work at home. Before you realize, you may be tired of living a life of “nothing”

The house is located in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture, the gateway to Tokyo, and is a 7-minute walk from Shimousa-Nakayama Station on the JR Chuo and Sobu Lines and Baraki-Nakayama Station on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line. Tokyo Share Ichikawa is a large scale share house with a total of 50 units and 4 floors, offering a wide variety of facilities and spacious common areas.

The charm of this share house is its numerous facilities that will tickle the fancy of its residents. There’s a music room, fitness studio, billiard table, reading area, bar counter, and even a piano. In addition to entertainment, there are also many places to spend your own relaxing time.

What do you think of a life with your own “leisure time” in a space that is like a treasure chest packed full of relaxing and playful ideas for adults?

Now, let’s take a peek inside the house!

Enjoy a relaxing lounge with a relaxed atmosphere.

The deep and spacious lounge has a great sense of openness. The dining table can accommodate 6 or 4 people, and there’s also a bar counter. You have your own choices of spending your own private time or just relax and chat with your housemates. For another option, it’s surely fun to have a party with all 50 residents.

In the back, you can see the dining room and kitchen. This makes it easy to carry food around. Be sure to enjoy a cup of “good morning” coffee and “good job” drinks in the evening.

The seats by the window are great for those who want to concentrate on their studies or work. The wood-grained interior creates a space that caters to each person’s lifestyle. When you open the door to the lounge, you’ll find the self-introduction board for each of your fellow residents. This is where you might start meeting new people.

MAVALAS, the company that manages Tokyo Share Ichikawa, aims to create a home where even those who are new to share houses can live in peace. As they say, their spacious space is filled with a sense of care for both community and privacy.

The music room, bar counter, and fitness room…entertainment facilities that will make you look forward to coming back home, as well as a lounge area to soothingly unwind after a hard day’s work.
The secret to happiness lies in “leisure time. Because you work so hard, this is the kind of luxurious time you want to enjoy.

What’s next for your weekend? Maybe you’ll pick up a musical instrument and perform your favorite songs for your housemates. Maybe you’ll cook a delicious meal and have fun talking to each other. You could read all day long, or maybe take a nap in the breeze.

Imagination is a constant source of new curiosity. Sometimes that can be the impetus to try something new. Because of the large number of people in the house, you may meet people you’ve never met before.
There are cases where the quality of a private room in a shared house is inferior to that of a room in a single person’s house, but
At Sharriet Ichikawa Gyotoku, the rooms have a desk, storage space, and even a three-piece unit.
You can live your life just as you would if you were living alone!
Plus, it’s nice to have a common area to enjoy with your housemates and all the luxurious facilities….

On the first floor there is a room for women only, and on the second floor there is a room that can accommodate two people.
Also, the wallpaper and flooring varies from room to room, so you’re sure to find a room to suit your taste among the 44 rooms available.

Share Lieto Ichikawa gyoutoku is operated and managed by Share Design, Inc.

The theme of the share house is “ENJOY,” and Share Lieto Ichikawa gyoutoku is a place you can’t experience by yourself.
It’s full of amenities. I don’t think there’s a house that gives you a lot of pleasure in your daily life.

I’m happy to come home. Until now, I think it was mostly about being relieved.
Share Lieto Ichikawa gyoutoku is also a “playground” for fun and happiness, I feel.

When we visited, when we got out of the ticket gate at Gyotoku Station, there was a couple holding a baby in their arms.
Old-fashioned Chinese shops with a good atmosphere, such as a street coffee shop.
A standing bar that comes alive at dusk. A flower shop filled with the fragrance of flowers, and so on.
I had the impression that the town was surrounded by a peaceful and gentle atmosphere.

There are also large supermarkets and Don Quijote near the station, making it convenient for daily shopping.
The nearest station, Gyotoku Station, is on the Tokyo Metro Tozai Line, and it takes only 24 minutes to get to Otemachi Station, making it easy to get to the heart of the city.

If you’re looking for a new way of life, this is the perfect place for you. How about starting an active life at “Share Lieto Ichikawa gyoutoku” in a tranquil town?
With a variety of leisure activities and stimulation from your housemates, this is a place where you’ll find yourself irreplaceable.

Today, I would like to introduce the share house “Kizunaya Share House #HASH 196-Kashiwa”. A place where you can experience an international exchange without even leaving Japan, and which was renovated and opened in June 2019.

“How should I read the name of this share house? What does it even mean?” is what I thought the first time I knew about this house. It’s not easy to know what to expect of this house just by the name, right? Let me explain it to you, “#HASH” comes from “hashtag”, and “196″ is the reference to the “Recipes of 196 countries that can be made in all houses” book that won the special award for cooking recipe in 2018. Pretty clever, isn’t?

The concept of this share house, of course, is related to food. What happens when delicious food is placed on the table? Everyone comes together around the table tempted by the smell of the homemade meal. After all, who doesn’t like eating? The vision of Mr. Hayato, the owner, for this house, was a dining table lined with dishes from around the world”

where the residents gather together to enjoy not only the meal but also the life of living together. No matter what your age is or where are you from, people always gather around the table and that is why dining tables are set up at the center of the house to follow this concept.

When you just meet someone for the first time, it is sometimes awkward to start a conversation, right? but if you have a meal together, it’s a very nice moment where you can naturally get along while waiting for good food and the “yum! Delicious~ ” is the trigger to begin a friendship!

Here a Japanese express lesson to say “delicious”: “uwa~ mecha umai~!”, your Japanese housemate would be surprised.

The nearest station to the house is JR Tokiwa Line Sakai Station which is at just 10 minutes by walk. In front of this station are many good restaurants and shopping malls perfect to enjoy with your housemates on weekends. Ueno Station is 28 minutes away and Tokyo Station is 32 minutes away from the downtown area. The location of #Hash169 is perfect for those who want to have a calm life without being far away from the city life.

Let’s explore the house right now!

Lots of unique areas where to spend the day! “What should I do today? Movie time? reading? crafting? “

There are so many common areas and living rooms here, that would be impossible to review all of them just in one report… Should I write a part II and III?

#Hash196 is operated by the company Kizunato. All of the Kizunato Share houses are made with a unique concept of creating a second family. This is reflected in the fact that this house has a large number of living rooms, which are places of communication. It is not just sharing a place to live; it is also a chance to share experiences and values, become a community, become a family. Something you can’t experience when you are living alone.

With a third of the 100 members being foreigners, there is also a desire of the owner to expand the sense of values through English conversation with foreigners and international exchange, which is the perfect chance to out in practice your Japanese. How about an exchange language class at the coworking area or something more casual in the lounge area or living room or atelier? Any place is perfect!

I almost forgot to mention that this house also had a Kids room area on the first floor dedicated to families with children. Isn’t it amazing how even these little details enlarge the feeling of being part of a huge family? The families, who are raising their children while being supported by the multigenerational and multinational “second family”, grow learning various values.

Finally, “Tadaima” translated as “I’m Back” and “Okaeri” for “Welcome back”, will be your favorite phrases, every time you arrive home. That feeling of being part of a family will come out naturally in this house. Definitely #HASH 196 – Kashiwa is a family-type international exchange house. A place where someone is waiting for you to say you “Okaeri!”.

The other day we went to a Grand Opening party for Share Residence Nishifunabashi, a new sharehouse in Nishifunabashi.

People living in Chiba will have heard of this place. Nishifunabashi station is an essential hub used by many as a transfer point to other lines, including the Sobu line, Tokyo Metro Tozai line, Keisei line, Musashino line and the Toyo Rapid Railway line. With its countless shops and the sweet smell of bread wafting throughout the station, passengers in transit often end up walking around the station premises while waiting for their next train.

The house is an 11-minute walk from the station, and I was warmly greeted by staff upon arrival before being escorted to the party room. There was a delicious aroma wafting through the room, and it had been set up and decorated by the fantastic staff for the event. Great food had been prepared by staff with cafe management experience, and another who had trained at a bakery was making bread right before my eyes. Right then and there I fell in love with the Share Design staff and the warm, homey atmosphere they had created.

I will now take you through the events of the party and how they unfolded.

Time to dig in! Everyone gushes over how good the food looks.

Gathering around a table to eat with others is something said to be lacking in the modern Japanese lifestyle. These folks right now are among their new big family getting ready to move in, and it looks like they couldn’t have felt more at home.

Can you guess what everyone is looking at?

Tada! Having this delicious smelling meal for breakfast will put you in a good mood for the rest of the day.

Next up is a bread-making workshop with a baker! The whole process looked difficult from where I was standing, though. Despite the tough task at hand, conversation and laughter flew about the room and I was reminded of the importance of connections between people. They say laughter is catching, and I truly understood the meaning of the phrase watching the exchanges taking place before me.

Party guests are making croissants and listening to a lecture on how to wind the dough to achieve that unique shape.

The final product! These look so good they could be sold in a shop. Freshly-brewed coffee completes the picture.

The wine is opened, conversation is ignited and I went around speaking to both new residents and staff members.

I spoke to one new resident who told me that they had lived in the confusion and chaos of the city, and chose this house in order to live in a charming neighborhood with space nearby to exercise and move their body.

Another resident hailing from outside of Japan mentioned that the house had a high ceiling and was comfortable to live in, something that Japanese people wouldn’t usually notice.

One young woman with a lot of luggage, something all females can relate to, says that she finds the ample storage space in the house very convenient.

I personally find the best thing about the house to be the beer tap! You don’t see those around too often! (laughs) This Share Design sharehouse shares the small happinesses in life that we often overlook, like free coffee in the morning. They pull out all the stops to make sure their residents are comfortable.

The great thing about sharing is that it fosters a cycle of communication between people of all ages and walks of life with with diverse personal and professional experiences. This was my first time participating in an event like this, and being here I truly felt our company’s objective, “reversing the communication deficiency of modern day Japan with sharehouses”, in action.

Another great thing about sharehouses is reflected in its management philosophy on how they would like their residents to live. The world that Share Design has created for this house is a warm, friendly place full of laughter. Take the opportunity to start a new lifestyle for yourself at Share Residence Nishifunabashi.

Share Design houses are always beautifully-designed spaces with playful touches that excite all.

The company has expanded their Share Residence series with this 10th property,Social Court Nishifunabashi, and we were there to check it out. Funabashi is a convenient area serviced by the Sobu Main line, the Tozai Line and Keisei Main Line. The reason residents can experience such ‘spacious luxury’ at a reasonable price is perhaps in part due to its location here away from the city.

The first floor of the sharehouse has a spacious living and dining area and kitchen, as well as a theatre room and fitness room.

A professional coffee maker sits atop the polished living room counter and creates a cafe-like environment. It’s very thrilling to think that you can spend time with like-minded housemates here without having to go to the effort of leaving the house.

Share Residence Funabashi offers a homey, comfortable lifestyle residents can enjoy everyday despite it being a large property. Let’s have a closer look at what makes this place great!

A place suitable for any purpose or mood.

I myself am currently living in a sharehouse and through my personal experience I have found that one of the best things about living here is being able to move around from one room to another as I please.

Living in a sharehouse is a way to satisfy everything you want to do on an everyday level, be it talking to another person, concentrate on work, hang out with others watching a movie or playing a game, or even if you just want to relax.

Today we will showcase Comfort Minami-Nagareyama, a sharehouse one step ahead of the game with everything one could possibly need in anticipation of all possible desires. Starting with a spacious lounge room to sit back and relax in, the house also has an indoor fitness room for physical activities such as dance or yoga, a theatre room to enjoy watching films with housemates and an office area for concentrating on work or study. You can do whatever you like with rooms to suit any purpose.

This house is a dream come true for hard workers who would like to spend their private time more efficiently with everything you could possibly need at your fingertips.

Let’s have a closer look inside the house!!

Managing this house is Oak House, sharehouse professionals with many other large-scale properties in their care. Properties housing a large number of tenants have been increasing of late and there is no doubt many people out there questioning the efficiency of the management systems within. The good thing about Oak House, however, is that an exclusive ‘house manager’ is attached to each sharehouse and should any trouble arise these managers are flexible and able to deal with the situation in an appropriate manner.

The area of Edogawa is distanced from the hustle and bustle of the city. When the going gets tough and you are worn out by work or study, take a walk down along the river to collect your thoughts while appreciating the flow of the water beside you.

While enjoying life with friends the character of the local community and surrounds will encourage you to look deep within yourself and become a better person.

Live amongst nature in a quiet residential neighborhood with the excitement of sharing a house with others and the solace of a comfortable environment adding color to otherwise ordinary days.

The OLE HALE share house just a 10 minute walk from Nishi-Kasai station is a co-ed share house opened in February 2011. Named “ole hale”, which can be translated as “good house” or “fun house” from the Hawaiian language, the top floor of the OLE HALE apartment house has been furnished as a share house by well known architects with great detail and ingenuity.

The building designed like a studio that looks to broaden one’s horizons offers those who live there plenty of sunlight, a nice breeze, and excellent scenery, while looking unique and stylish like a work of art. When being shown around this share house, we felt a bit envious as we thought “a group of guys and girls living together in a share house like this? it’s like a drama.”

To those who would like to enjoy a share house life style straight out of a television show, wouldn’t you like to have that once in a life time experience? In any case, let’s begin our tour of OLE HALE.

Everyone desires a pleasant and relaxing environment to live in for everyday life. Personally, we were thinking about how it’d be nice if there were more high quality share house residences. However, even though OLE HALE offers a “shared living space”, we feel it more than proves such a luxurious living space is obtainable.

While the manager is a woman, going beyond the scope of the interior and exterior’s detailed designs, we were pleasantly surprised that when asked “What is OLE HALE’s key feature” she replied that “the building has been made earthquake proof, so residents can comfortably live here with peace of mind.” Of course “offering a place to live with peace of mind” is only natural to be expected, but after actually talking with the manager, we thought “wow, this is fantastic!”

Incidentally, when hearing of a share house in Nishi-Kasai, there are probably a few people wondering “can you walk to Disney Land from there?” Although it looks to be too far, you can probably get a view of Disney Land’s fireworks from the rooftop. There’s no doubt residents here have a good time.

Those who’d like to experience the unique lifestyle of OLE HALE, please click here for inquiries.
