<h3> Share house extends my world</h3>

<dd>
<p>&#8220;How about actually living?&#8221; &#8220;What did you choose this share house with decisive factors?&#8221; There are many things to worry about, are not you? In order to solve such a question this time, I have talked to the residents! (From the left, Aya, Nick, Natsumi)</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_002.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-53483" alt="IW_002" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_002.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>&#8212;Please tell me the best reason you decided to live in this share house.</strong></p>
</dd>
<dt><strong><span style="color: #ff8c00;">Aya</span></strong></dt>
<dd>
<p>First of all, I thought that I would enjoy studying abroad if I live here. And it seems likely that I can have various friends. </p>
</dd>
<dt><strong><span style="color: #ff001e;">Natsumi</span></strong></dt>
<dd>
<p>Nick is my boyfriend, but when thinking about him, I thought that this share house where people of various nationalities live is good. </p>
</dd>
<dt><strong><span style="color: #4169e1;">Nick</span></strong></dt>
<dd>
<p>People living in the share house are all kind and helpful. I made friends who can speak English, as well as Japanese friends who teach Japanese.</p>
</dd>
<dt><strong><span style="color: #ff001e;">Natsumi</span></strong></dt>
<dd>
<p>Nick is studying Japanese very enthusiastic.</p>
</dd>
<dt><strong><span style="color: #ff8c00;">Aya</span></strong></dt>
<dd>
<p>He can not only speak now but also can write kanji!</p>
</dd>
<dt><strong><span style="color: #4169e1;">Nick</span></strong></dt>
<dd>
<p>Thanks to everyone. I am grateful.</p>
</dd>
<dd><strong>&#8212;I think the life here is very wonderful. Is there a lot of interaction among residents?？<br /></strong></dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff8c00;"><strong>Aya</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>It is quite a lot! Every day someone is playing a game competition or a drinking party. I have not seen a time when there is no one in the living room.</p>
</dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff001e;"><strong>Natsumi</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>Living is always lively.</p>
</dd>
<dt><span style="color: #4169e1;"><strong>Nick</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>When I think &#8220;I want to talk with someone&#8221;, I try to go to the living room. Because everyone is there, I do not miss it.。</p>
</dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff8c00;"><strong>Aya</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>I agree . I like the living room the most. I may not have thought that I am lonely.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_004.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-53485" alt="IW_004" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_004.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
</dd>
<dd><strong>&#8212;Is English used when speaking between residents?</strong></dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff001e;"><strong>Natsumi</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>I often use English.  Because there are many people who can’t speak Japanese.</p>
</dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff8c00;"><strong>Aya</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>I also use English at least once a day. Just living, I will be happy to study English.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_044.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-53487" alt="IW_044" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_044.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
</dd>
<dt> </dt>
<dd><strong>&#8212;Finally, please give the message to readers！<br /></strong></dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff8c00;"><strong>Aya</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>The best attraction of &#8220;Firsthouse Mizonokuchi 100+b&#8221; is that it is easy for new friends to make. It&#8217;s fun because not only Japanese but also friends from foreign countries can do it.  I recommend it to those who think that &#8220;I want a new encounter.</p>
</dd>
<dt><span style="color: #4169e1;"><strong>Nick</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>Resident is kindness anyway. We will help you when you have a problem, and will tell you gently what you do not understand. People who are the first to live in a share house should surely be able to live with peace of mind.</p>
</dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff8c00;"><strong>Aya</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>At first I was anxious about having a living with others. But now such anxiety has gone. People who are lost in living in a shared house, how about trying it once?</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_038.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-53482" alt="IW_038" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_038.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>It was an interview with a peaceful atmosphere from the beginning until the merit of the three people was transmitted.Three people smiling fun talking about share house was dazzling!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
</dd>
<dt> <a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/45109441_1975490772518842_1419783469273186304_n.png"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-53497" alt="45109441_1975490772518842_1419783469273186304_n" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/45109441_1975490772518842_1419783469273186304_n.png" width="170" height="22" /></a></dt>
<dd><strong> </strong></dd>
<dd>
<h3>I want you to experience the share house once in your life!</h3>
<div class="interviewArea">
<dl>
<dd>
<p>Next, I talked with Mr. Sugawara of Interwhao which operates &#8221; Firsthouse Mizonokuchi 100+b&#8221;.  Mr. Sugawara actually manages the property while living in this share house.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_052.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-53489" alt="IW_052" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_052.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p><strong>&#8212;You are actually living in this share house, isn’t you?<br /></strong></p>
</dd>
<dt><strong><span style="color: #9dff00;">Mr. Sugawara</span></strong></dt>
<dd>
<p>While actually living, I am doing business of share house. I am listening to the opinions of residents or responding to small problems. While doing maintenance and cleaning of the share house, I am enjoying the feeling of the captain of a long ship as long as I am.</p>
</dd>
<dd><strong>&#8212;I heard that this house was painted exterior wall recently.<br /></strong></dd>
<dt><span style="color: #9dff00;"><strong>Mr. Sugawara</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>This building is not a new construction but a renovation. For that reason, we want to carefully use while maintaining. The property owner arranged for this exterior wall painting. Moreover, it is finished with the sense of color of citrus system and green of interwhao corporate color since our foundation 20 years ago.</p>
</dd>
<dd><strong>&#8212;There are many residents of foreigners, but is communication difficult?<br /></strong></dd>
<dt><span style="color: #9dff00;"><strong>Mr. Sugawara</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>I can communicate with the English speaking resident without problems. Communication with residents who can not speak Japanese as well as English is a little hard, but by speaking slowly and carefully, I understand in general.</p>
</dd>
<dt> </dt>
<dd><strong>&#8212;Do you participate in events between residents?<br /></strong></dd>
<dt><span style="color: #9dff00;"><strong>Mr. Sugawara</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>Of course! I also participate in drinking party and game competitions. Also, today I hold a special exhibition of the Tama River Fireworks display on the rooftop.</p>
</dd>
<dt> </dt>
<dd><strong>&#8212;Ah, that was right!<br /></strong></dd>
<dt><span style="color: #9dff00;"><strong>Mr. Sugawara</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>I heard that the fireworks display can be seen very well from the roof of this property. I am also looking forward to it for the first time this time. Everyone is already gathering at the rooftop!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p>A lot of residents go to the roof top of the share house. They seemed happy as they enjoyed drinking and having a chat with each other.</p>

<p>Nick is my boyfriend, but when thinking about him, I thought that this share house where people of various nationalities live is good. </p>
</dd>
<dt><strong><span style="color: #4169e1;">Nick</span></strong></dt>
<dd>
<p>People living in the share house are all kind and helpful. I made friends who can speak English, as well as Japanese friends who teach Japanese.</p>

<dt><strong><span style="color: #ff001e;">Natsumi</span></strong></dt>

<dt><span style="color: #ff8c00;"><strong>Aya</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>It is quite a lot! Every day someone is playing a game competition or a drinking party. I have not seen a time when there is no one in the living room.</p>
</dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff001e;"><strong>Natsumi</strong></span></dt>

</dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff8c00;"><strong>Aya</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>I agree . I like the living room the most. I may not have thought that I am lonely.</p>

<dd><strong>&#8212;Is English used when speaking between residents?</strong></dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff001e;"><strong>Natsumi</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>I often use English.  Because there are many people who can’t speak Japanese.</p>
</dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff8c00;"><strong>Aya</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>I also use English at least once a day. Just living, I will be happy to study English.</p>

<p>Resident is kindness anyway. We will help you when you have a problem, and will tell you gently what you do not understand. People who are the first to live in a share house should surely be able to live with peace of mind.</p>
</dd>
<dt><span style="color: #ff8c00;"><strong>Aya</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>At first I was anxious about having a living with others. But now such anxiety has gone. People who are lost in living in a shared house, how about trying it once?</p>

<p>Next, I talked with Mr. Sugawara of Interwhao which operates &#8221; Firsthouse Mizonokuchi 100+b&#8221;.  Mr. Sugawara actually manages the property while living in this share house.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_052.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-53489" alt="IW_052" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/IW_052.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p><strong>&#8212;You are actually living in this share house, isn’t you?<br /></strong></p>
</dd>
<dt><strong><span style="color: #9dff00;">Mr. Sugawara</span></strong></dt>
<dd>
<p>While actually living, I am doing business of share house. I am listening to the opinions of residents or responding to small problems. While doing maintenance and cleaning of the share house, I am enjoying the feeling of the captain of a long ship as long as I am.</p>
</dd>
<dd><strong>&#8212;I heard that this house was painted exterior wall recently.<br /></strong></dd>
<dt><span style="color: #9dff00;"><strong>Mr. Sugawara</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>This building is not a new construction but a renovation. For that reason, we want to carefully use while maintaining. The property owner arranged for this exterior wall painting. Moreover, it is finished with the sense of color of citrus system and green of interwhao corporate color since our foundation 20 years ago.</p>
</dd>
<dd><strong>&#8212;There are many residents of foreigners, but is communication difficult?<br /></strong></dd>
<dt><span style="color: #9dff00;"><strong>Mr. Sugawara</strong></span></dt>
<dd>
<p>I can communicate with the English speaking resident without problems. Communication with residents who can not speak Japanese as well as English is a little hard, but by speaking slowly and carefully, I understand in general.</p>
</dd>
<dt> </dt>
<dd><strong>&#8212;Do you participate in events between residents?<br /></strong></dd>

<p>By travelling, you will bump into many new things. Not only people, but anything such as cities, view, foods, and cultures, including both material or non-material. Plus, almost every time, travelling has its ending set with good-byes. It may be because we know that eventually it’s all going to end, that we are moved by things we encounter and feel all so ephemeral.</p>
<p>I personally think that living in a shared house is similar with traveling. Imagine living with strangers who are different in almost everything, from the place you are born, nationality, or what we value. They just happen to move into the same house at the same time as you. It is filled with new experiences. You will meet people and learn cultures that you may not encounter in your ordinary life. “Living” and ”Traveling” seems poles apart, but shared house, which is a new style of living, can be a bridge between those two.Today, I’m introducing to you travel lovers a shared house in Osaka prefecture. It is located at Sumiyoshi-ku Bandai, where you can easily access to Namba station and Tennoji station in Minami district. This residence’s concept is to connect those who love three things; traveling, books, and a coffee.</p>
<p>Don’t you think it’s fluttering to live a life with each encounter becoming one of your precious memories? Coincidently, opening party at the house was held at the same time as the day of our shooting, so I will tell you all about the event, too!</p>

<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/bandaiike.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52193" alt="bandaiike" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/bandaiike.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">“Kizunaya Shsarehouse -hitotoki- Osaka Tezukayama”, the residence I’m introducing to you today, stands at Tezukayama, one of the exclusive residential districts in Osaka. It is quiet and neat residential area, with lots of mansions in neighborhood.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/bandaiike_003.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52194" alt="bandaiike_003" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/bandaiike_003.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">To Tezukayama station to shared house is approximately 8 minutes on foot. On the way, there’s a park called Bandai pond park, providing relaxing space for people living nearby. You can walk around and enjoy the changes of seasons in full nature. </p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_spot_001.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52169" alt="hitotoki_spot_001" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_spot_001.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">You will also find a stylish café called “Shinrinsha” near the house, making it easy to have lunch outside whenever you like. At the atelier next to it, they hold pottering classes. </p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_10.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52003" alt="hitotoki_10" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_10.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Now, let’s look inside the house! “Kizunabito Share house -hitotoki- Osaka Tezukayama” is a full renovation of apartment standing along the National Route 30. From 3rd to 5th floor is the residence and the entrance is on the 3rd floor. The above picture shows the spacious entrance hall.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_02.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51988" alt="hitotoki_02" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_02.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
</div>
<p>By entering inside and opening the door in your right, it connects to the main lounge. “Hitotoki”, the word used as the name of the shared house means “momentary”, but it also comprehends the theme “hito=people to=and ki=a tree”. This room is designed to make people gather around at the big tree standing in the center of the table.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_05.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51993" alt="hitotoki_05" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_05.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Natural and warm colored interiors produce the warm and relaxing atmosphere.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_18.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52018" alt="hitotoki_18" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_18.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Plenty of sunlight pours into the room, providing enough light in the daytime.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_08.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51999" alt="hitotoki_08" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_08.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>If you are freelance worker who stays at home, this is the perfect place to concentrate on your work.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_06.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51995" alt="hitotoki_06" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_06.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Kitchen is at the far end of the living room. There’s lots of space for several residents to cook at the same time.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_07.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51997" alt="hitotoki_07" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_07.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>It is a standard system kitchen, nothing extraordinary, so you probably won’t need any help to figure things out and get to cooking right away.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_036.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52040" alt="hitotoki_036" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_036.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>3 IH cooking stoves are at your service. Since it’s not a gas type, you will find it very easy to clean up after using.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_037.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52041" alt="hitotoki_037" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_037.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>There is standard electric cooking items and tools, so you don’t have to prepare them yourselves. In the picture are coffee bean mill and brewer, enabling you to enjoy professional coffee at home.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_028.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52033" alt="hitotoki_028" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_028.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Look, there’s many magazines about coffee on the living room wall rack.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_021.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52025" alt="hitotoki_021" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_021.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a> </p>
<p>Now, let’s move on to the bathrooms. Bathtubs and shower rooms are all located on the 3rd floor.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_21.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52024" alt="hitotoki_21" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_21.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Shower rooms and bathroom with bathtubs are one each. This picture shows the bathroom.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_016.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52015" alt="hitotoki_016" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_016.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Have you been wondering what this wooden door on the left is? Surprisingly, this is sauna booth! You can enjoy sauna at your house. Isn’t it fascinating?</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_017.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52017" alt="hitotoki_017" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_017.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Bath tub is wide enough and will help you take a good night sleep after sinking and relaxing in it. Don’t you just love bathing?</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_005.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51994" alt="hitotoki_005" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_005.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Next, we’ll check the 4th floor! This spiral staircase will lead you to it!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_22.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52026" alt="hitotoki_22" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_22.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Here is the sharing library where residents can bring their books and leave them for others to read. Lie on the floor and enjoy sharing your interests and knowledges with house mates.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_15.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52013" alt="hitotoki_15" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_15.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>You can take a sneak peek into each other’s mind by sharing your favorite books. It will be a great opportunity to know each other even more.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_008.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52000" alt="hitotoki_008" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_008.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The books already prepared on the shelves are all so interesting with various genres and even picture books.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_012.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52008" alt="hitotoki_012" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_012.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>There’s a big terrace outside the window of the sharing library. In this extremely hot weather, it’s difficult to use the space in the day time. But at night, you can grab a drink or chit chat with your house mates. It can be your hide out space to spill out things you cannot say in public.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_13.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52009" alt="hitotoki_13" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_13.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>By the end of summer, you may even read outside with cool wind kissing your cheek.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_502-2.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51978" alt="hitotoki_(502-2)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_502-2.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>As you can see in the picture, there’s a convenience store right in front of the house. You can shop whenever you need to.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_002.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51989" alt="hitotoki_002" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_002.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Two laundry machines are on the 5th floor.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_001.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51987" alt="hitotoki_001" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_001.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Going outside from the laundry room, you will find the space to dry your laundries after washing.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_502-1.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51977" alt="hitotoki_(502-1)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_502-1.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Lastly, let’s check out the rooms! There are 8 individual rooms.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_502-4.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51980" alt="hitotoki_(502-4)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_502-4.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The size differs slightly, but in average, 8-12 square meters are assured in every room.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_502-5.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51981" alt="hitotoki_(502-5)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_502-5.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Here at room 502, there’s this huge closet with ample of space for living solely.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_503-2.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-51983" alt="hitotoki_(503-2)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_503-2.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>At the room on the 5th floor, there’s window in the ceiling providing enough light at the daytime. No need for electricity! Not only the main lounge, but also each room is designed to implement comfort living.</p>

<p>While we were at house touring, preparation for the opening party has been proceeding. From now on, I will show you specifically about the party held on the day of shooting.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_001.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52121" alt="hitotoki_event_001" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_001.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Going near the kitchen, I found lots of delicious looking meals set ready on plates.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_010.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52142" alt="hitotoki_event_010" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_010.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The person in the picture is a special guest for the event. I will introduce him later on.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_011.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52131" alt="hitotoki_event_011" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_011.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Don’t forget about drinks. They have prepared bar-like varieties including original cocktails perfect for the summer.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_017.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52171" alt="hitotoki_event_017" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_017.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>After many people squeezing in at the main lounge, the party started with greets from Mr. Hiraoka, the representative of Kizunabito. More than 30 people gathered today for this event.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_022.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52159" alt="hitotoki_event_022" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_022.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>This picture is just the moment of toasting. Look how everyone is smiling.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_025.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52140" alt="hitotoki_event_025" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_025.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Everyone, from grownups to little kids are the guest of the house today. This probably is one side of attraction of the shared house, with people enjoying conversations regardless of their age, gender, or nationality.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_023.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52134" alt="hitotoki_event_023" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_023.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Great smiles everyone!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_026.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52133" alt="hitotoki_event_026" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_026.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Now that the place is warmed up after talking, I would like to introduce the special guest today. He is the famous traveler chef, Naoyoshi Motoyama.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_028.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52138" alt="hitotoki_event_028" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_028.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>If you’re a cooking-lover, you might have seen his book at stores. This recipe book introduces how to cook 196 country’s local foods, and he’s the one who supervised the piece. Mr. Motoyama is extremely busy developing products, attending events, and giving lectures all around the country. Kizunabito has offered passionately for him to join the opening party, and now, here he is.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_032.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52144" alt="hitotoki_event_032" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_032.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The foods offered at today’s opening party were all prepared and cooked by him. Lots of local foods which fits perfectly to the theme “traveling” was lined up. He explained to us how he became as he is now by picture-story show. Let me share his story. He first became interested in traveling when he learned about India.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_031.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52132" alt="hitotoki_event_031" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_031.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>He used to be a chef at French restaurant but became obsessed with spice when visiting India with his costumer who was Yoga teacher. Once he came home, he started working at an Indian restaurant.</p>
<p>Since then, he has been traveling all around the world whenever he has a free time and learned and acquired how to cook local foods by communicating with residents. He visited over 30 countries. “Travelling Chef” fits perfectly for him.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_034.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52146" alt="hitotoki_event_034" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_034.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Recently, he was consulted by government the ways to get rid of Trachemys scripta (red-eared sliders) which increased too much in numbers and has a risk of destroying ecosystem. As a solution, he developed a world’s first boil-in-the-bag food using them as ingredient. It was a rough path to come up with cooking method and handling the hard carapace, but eventually he made it into a product that can be sold.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_036.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52153" alt="hitotoki_event_036" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_036.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Since then he has been producing boil-in-the-bag foods of local dishes and calling them the “series of fine appetite worldwide”, wishing to make lots of people to easily experience the culture of different countries.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_008.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52137" alt="hitotoki_event_008" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_008.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>I will introduce you some foods provided at the event! This one in the picture is called “Bhajia”, an African croquette with beans in it and tomato sauce on top.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_002.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52145" alt="hitotoki_event_002" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_002.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>This one here is from Romania. A quiet interesting putty made from paste of eggplant. </p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_044.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52158" alt="hitotoki_event_044" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_044.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Main dish is local food from New Orleans in southern part of US called “Gumbo”. Originally, they eat as a soup, but it goes so well with white rice!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_040.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52154" alt="hitotoki_event_040" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_040.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>This soup is called “Ajiaco” from South America. Potatoes, giant corns, and avocado is in it. Every dish was not weird at all as I imagined, and although some of them tasted unfamiliar, I found them very delicious.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_042.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52150" alt="hitotoki_event_042" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_042.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>After eating, we had original blend coffee of Kizunaya. I enjoyed all three flavors.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_046.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52147" alt="hitotoki_event_046" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_046.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>There were also some activities that every nationality or gender can enjoy. People concentrated on working them.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_048.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52162" alt="hitotoki_event_048" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_048.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The event was a full success! They closed the party, not by Japanese’s traditional style of hand clapping, but by showing palms of their hands in a call. Showing one’s palms were probably intended to communicate the concept of this share house, such as connecting people and sharing values.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_050.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-52168" alt="hitotoki_event_050" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/hitotoki_event_050.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Recording the memories by taking pictures together! Many people from various backgrounds joined the event, and I assume this circle is going to grow even bigger.</p>
<p>If you are interested in these three keywords, “travel”, “coffee”, or “book”, then please go and see the house for once! Thank you staffs and everyone gathered at the event!</p>
<p>How did you like it? The shared house “Kizunaya Share house -hitotoki- Tezukayama” I introduced you today is run by Kizunabito Inc.</p>
<p>They already have been running 4 other shared houses in Tokyo and nearby areas. The main feature of the houses run by Kizunabito is created by Mr. Hiraoka, the representative himself.</p>
<p>Reading blogs, looking into their SNS, or attending events, you can sense that the residents gets along so well, even with residents at other shared houses. The reason why they are so friendly is that Mr. Hiraoka is willing to enjoy with them despite of his position as an owner. It takes away resident’s hesitation and make them go jump right into the community.</p>
<p>Gorgeous facilities and comfortableness can be one aspect of attraction, but the main feature is the community that the house creates.</p>
<p>Meeting and spending time with your share mates all becoming lifetime memories to cherish. Why don’t you start your shared house life if interested in travel-like living?</p>

<p dir="ltr">Trip and traveling is similar word but different in meanings. Purpose of “trip” is sightseeing and the destination is decided from the beginning . On the other hand, “travel” embraces whole process of getting to the destination. Well, at least that’s what I interpret. There are things you can only appreciate at the place, like the nature, experience and communication with local people. Sometimes you can encounter travelers like yourself. Enjoying these kinds of incidents is the best part of traveling.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Focusing on “people”, there are some points you can experience the similar feeling by living in the share house. Feature of the share houses such as rapid change of residents compared to apartment and sharing space for residents to communicate enables to build relationship with many people in short terms. Difference between share house and traveling is the strength of connection. Although the term is said to be short, you will be sharing household for more than half a year with other residents. Meanwhile, bond like a family will be created among residents.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The share house we introduce you today has concept of “travel”. Travel lovers with various personalities are thought to gather at the share house. I have joined the opening event and private viewing precedent to the official opening this spring. Let’s get a sneak peek inside right away!</p>

<p dir="ltr">Tabicco, the huge share house we introduce today is located in calm resident district, 10 minutes walk from Settsu station of Hankyu line in Osaka. It was once a company dormitory.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_47.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48160" alt="tabicco_47" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_47.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
</div>
<p> Up to 30 residents can live here. Entrance is broad enough so you won’t feel stressed out with many people going in and out.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_48.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48161" alt="tabicco_48" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_48.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Near the entrance, there’s a concierge’s room which no longer has been used. It is the remains from the company dormitory. Please don’t enter since it has not been used for some time.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_67.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48189" alt="tabicco_67" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_67.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The isle on the right leads to living room. The sign says “Reception is here”. Private viewing event was held on the day we visited.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_15.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48162" alt="tabicco_15" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_15.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>This is the photo of the living space we shot before the event. It’s neat and very clean since it has just opened.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_20.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48163" alt="tabicco_20" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_20.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>At the center, symbolic tree of tabicco is standing, growing straight to the ceiling. Pictures of memories here at tabicco is planned to be tied to the tree branch. The idea to resemble pictures as a leaf is very unique!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_28.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48164" alt="tabicco_28" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_28.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>There hangs a hammock besides the tree.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_14.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48165" alt="tabicco_14" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_14.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The room looks bigger from this angle. You can go to the kitchen straight from the living room.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_3.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48167" alt="tabicco_3" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_3.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>There are 3 cooking stoves and 2 IH plates. You probably won’t feel inconvenient event when the timing of cooking overlaps.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_5.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48168" alt="tabicco_5" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_5.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>A red pot looks nice in the kitchen. Good thing about share house is that there’s full line up of dishes and cooking items needed for living.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_22.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48169" alt="tabicco_event_22" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_22.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>From now on, we would like to follow the people gathered for private viewing.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_23.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48170" alt="tabicco_event_23" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_23.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Seeing it for the first time, they seem to be fully interested at the share house.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_36.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48171" alt="tabicco_36" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_36.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p dir="ltr">People are looking into this shower box. Compared to the ordinary share house, you may get the impression that the dressing space is bigger.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_40.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48181" alt="tabicco_40" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_40.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Don’t worry! There is bathtub for those who want to soak in.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_41.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48182" alt="tabicco_41" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_41.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Near the entrance is a bathroom exclusively for women.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_44.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48183" alt="tabicco_44" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_44.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>This is it! The bathtub is wide enough to fit 2-3 people at the same time. Big bath is pleasant to take every day.</p>

<p>Enough viewing the 1st floor, let’s move on to the second floor of private rooms.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_52.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48186" alt="tabicco_52" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_52.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>By climbing up the steps with sunlight pouring</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_54.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48187" alt="tabicco_54" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_54.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>you will get to the room with both bathroom and laundry, and the isle that leads to private rooms.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_69.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48188" alt="tabicco_69" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_69.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The bathroom has bidet function and a heated seat!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_60.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48192" alt="tabicco_60" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_60.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The layouts are similar on the third floor but space with bathroom is exclusively for women. Slightly special than the second floor!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_61.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48193" alt="tabicco_61" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_61.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>It’s great to have a big mirror when putting on a make-up</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_58.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48194" alt="tabicco_58" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_58.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The place has 2 washing machines on the third floor.</p>

<p>And this is the room of the tabicco.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_302_1.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48196" alt="tabicco_302_1" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_302_1.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>This room is designed as a model room for women.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_202.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48198" alt="tabicco_202" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_202.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The wall paper differs in each room so you can pick one of your favorite as long as it’s vacant.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_512.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48199" alt="tabicco_512" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_512.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Every room has a closet this big. No worries for people with lots of belongings.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_662.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48203" alt="tabicco_66" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_662.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>In addition to 3 floors of spaces, there’s rooftop free to use.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_65.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48204" alt="tabicco_65" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_65.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Above your head you can see beautiful blue sky of Osaka. They covered up the floor with wood tiles recently. You may enjoy BBQ with your share house family.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_17.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48205" alt="tabicco_event_17" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_17.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Just about the time we finished looking around the tabicco, setting for the event has been completed in the living room.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_3.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48206" alt="tabicco_event_3" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_3.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Beer bottles are lined up. The brands are from all over the world. I see, it’s to travel the world through beer.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_29.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48209" alt="tabicco_event_29" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_29.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p dir="ltr">Like a wine list, there were lists of the names and character of each beer. You may understand the feeling of drinking local beer when traveling.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_71.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48207" alt="tabicco_71" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_71.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The meal served was combination of Osaka and the countries around the world. The base is Takoyaki, the Osaka’s soul food, and there combined different country’s appetites. They were all so delicious and had sold out in a blink of an eye.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_6.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48210" alt="tabicco_event_6" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_6.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Confirming that everybody took a bottle of a beer, along with the toast of manager, opening party begins!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_14.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48211" alt="tabicco_event_14" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_14.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Since some were rare brands, the beer sold out fast, too.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_7.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48212" alt="tabicco_event_7" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_7.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p dir="ltr">People are strangers but most of them seemed to be friendly. Maybe travel lovers tend to have similar characters.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_30.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48213" alt="tabicco_event_30" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_30.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Taking a seat in the living room, chitchat goes on.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_36.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48214" alt="tabicco_event_36" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_36.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Some guests brought gifts (consumable goods like tissues and detergents) for the opening celebration. Things are very useful at the share house!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_40.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48215" alt="tabicco_event_40" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_40.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>At the party, there was a live painting performance.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_41.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48216" alt="tabicco_event_41" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_41.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Painting the message to memorialize the opening of tabicco in a smooth manner with BGM.,</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_50.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-48217" alt="tabicco_event_50" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/04/tabicco_event_50.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Finished! We took a picture together with the completed work. I didn’t notice there were this many people participating. Party went on with everyone smiling from the beginning to the end.</p>
<p> </p>
<p> </p>
<p>How did you like it? The share house “tabicco” we introduced today is run by Kizunabito Inc.</p>
<p>They use the best of their knowledge of running 4 share houses of their own brand to build the first share house in Osaka of 30 residents. The core concept of the Kizunaya brand is “Finding second family”. They throw events that enable to deepen the relationship between residents. At tabicco, they plan events with theme of travel as it is the concept of the share house. As for now, it is due to invite teacher every month to hold a cooking class with theme of dishes around the world. You may encounter recipes with less chance of learning and eating without this opportunity. This could make you interested in various countries via food.</p>
<p>For those with great experience in traveling or even beginners, tabicco will provide you a chance to meet people with same interest and further more “making family-like friends”. Travel around the world starts here at tabicco. How about traveling with your share house family?</p>

<p><strong></strong>It’s time for a late hanami or ‘flower viewing’ on the banks of the Kanda river! Now is the time we are truly aware of the four seasons, with new green leaves growing and cherry blossoms falling down in the spring breeze.</p>
<p>There is an old saying in Japan of ‘Hana Yori Dango.’ It literally translates to ‘dumplings rather than flowers’ and refers to a preference for practical things rather than aesthetics, for substance over facade. Today’s late hanami party is really an opportunity for cultural exchange!</p>
<p>The party was held by Be Good Japan Flatshare for the residents of their sharehouses. Be Good Japan Flatshare houses are known for housing people of many different nationalities.</p>
<p>There are people from countries like China, Taiwan, Sweden and France. Most of the residents are Taiwanese and Swedish international exchange students. Many different languages were heard at the party, and with English as the main method of communication the group enjoyed drinking and chatting with each other. From where we sat I could see the JR Chuo line passing through and then and there I saw Japan in a new light (laughs).</p>
<p>Parties at sharehouses are a common occurrence, but how often do you hear about this kind of networking party between houses? If you are interested in meeting people from a wide variety of backgrounds, the houses we showcase today are worth checking out!</p>
<p>Let’s now see how the party went!</p>

<p><span style="font-size: medium;"><b> その名も、「ARIGATO PARTY」</b></span></p>
<p>The staff had spent all morning securing a spot and getting thing ready for the party, and by the time guests arrived everything was good to go. Thanks, guys!</p>

<p>As the scheduled start time neared groups of guests started arriving one after the other, and our spot in the park buzzed with conversation and laughter. After a few words from the organiser it was time to pop open the champagne and make a toast.</p>

<p>The party was held in April and guests were able to make new friends outside in the comfortable spring weather. To close the party everyone got together to take a group shot. Looking at the smiles all around as people started to head off home it’s hard to believe that everyone had just met for the first time.</p>
<p>The event was organised by Be Good Japan Flatshare for residents living in the company’s houses. There are more events like this one in the works, so if you are interested in experiencing a global atmosphere without leaving Japan you should check out one of these sharehouses.</p>

<p>The biggest selling point of this property is its proximity to the station. You can actually see Kichijoji station from the windows. Kichijoji is an area placing high in the ‘Desirable Neighborhoods’ ranking and is 17-minutes away from Shibuya on the Keio Inokashira line. Despite being only 17-minutes from Shinjuku on the JR Chuo line as well, Kichijoji is a popular area dotted with stylish cafe-restaurants great for lunch, and is also home to a large zoo and verdant park reserve where visitors can board boats.</p>

<p>The other day we went to a Grand Opening party for Share Residence Nishifunabashi, a new sharehouse in Nishifunabashi.</p>
<p>People living in Chiba will have heard of this place. Nishifunabashi station is an essential hub used by many as a transfer point to other lines, including the Sobu line, Tokyo Metro Tozai line, Keisei line, Musashino line and the Toyo Rapid Railway line. With its countless shops and the sweet smell of bread wafting throughout the station, passengers in transit often end up walking around the station premises while waiting for their next train.</p>
<p>The house is an 11-minute walk from the station, and I was warmly greeted by staff upon arrival before being escorted to the party room. There was a delicious aroma wafting through the room, and it had been set up and decorated by the fantastic staff for the event. Great food had been prepared by staff with cafe management experience, and another who had trained at a bakery was making bread right before my eyes. Right then and there I fell in love with the Share Design staff and the warm, homey atmosphere they had created.</p>
<p>I will now take you through the events of the party and how they unfolded.</p>
<p><span id="more-42534"></span><span style="color: #0000ff;"><a title="「Share residence Nishi Funabashi」 " href="https://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/?p=42534" target="_blank" class="broken_link"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-family: meiryo;">「Share residence Nishi Funabashi」</span>House Details Page</span></a></span></p>

<p>Food for the party is prepared by Share Design staff members to welcome the new residents.</p>

<p>A brilliant array of foods adorn the dinner table. New residents begin to arrive and the lounge becomes lively little by little.</p>

<p>Time to dig in! Everyone gushes over how good the food looks.</p>
<p>Gathering around a table to eat with others is something said to be lacking in the modern Japanese lifestyle. These folks right now are among their new big family getting ready to move in, and it looks like they couldn’t have felt more at home.</p>
<p><a style="line-height: 1.5em;" href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/011nishifunabashipeople-who-are-eating.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-42550" alt="011nishifunabashi(people-who-are-eating)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/011nishifunabashipeople-who-are-eating.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>

<p>Can you guess what everyone is looking at?</p>

<p>Tada! Having this delicious smelling meal for breakfast will put you in a good mood for the rest of the day.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/017nishifunabashicroissant-teaching.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-42557" alt="017nishifunabashi(croissant-teaching)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/017nishifunabashicroissant-teaching.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Next up is a bread-making workshop with a baker! The whole process looked difficult from where I was standing, though. Despite the tough task at hand, conversation and laughter flew about the room and I was reminded of the importance of connections between people. They say laughter is catching, and I truly understood the meaning of the phrase watching the exchanges taking place before me.</p>
<p><a style="line-height: 1.5em;" href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/018nishifunabashicroissant-teaching.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-42560" alt="018nishifunabashi(croissant-teaching)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/018nishifunabashicroissant-teaching.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Party guests are making croissants and listening to a lecture on how to wind the dough to achieve that unique shape.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/027nishifunabashicroissant-completa1.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-42644" alt="027nishifunabashi(croissant-completa)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/027nishifunabashicroissant-completa1.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The final product! These look so good they could be sold in a shop. Freshly-brewed coffee completes the picture.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/025nishifunabashicomunication.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-42567" alt="025nishifunabashi(comunication)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/025nishifunabashicomunication.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The wine is opened, conversation is ignited and I went around speaking to both new residents and staff members.</p>
<p><a style="line-height: 1.5em;" href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/031nishifunabashicomunication.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-42573" alt="031nishifunabashi(comunication)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/031nishifunabashicomunication.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>I spoke to one new resident who told me that they had lived in the confusion and chaos of the city, and chose this house in order to live in a charming neighborhood with space nearby to exercise and move their body.</p>
<p>Another resident hailing from outside of Japan mentioned that the house had a high ceiling and was comfortable to live in, something that Japanese people wouldn’t usually notice.</p>
<p>One young woman with a lot of luggage, something all females can relate to, says that she finds the ample storage space in the house very convenient.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/021nishifunabashibeer-tap.jpg"><img class="alignnone  wp-image-42563" alt="021nishifunabashi(beer-tap)" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/021nishifunabashibeer-tap.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>I personally find the best thing about the house to be the beer tap! You don’t see those around too often! (laughs) This Share Design sharehouse shares the small happinesses in life that we often overlook, like free coffee in the morning. They pull out all the stops to make sure their residents are comfortable.</p>
<p>The great thing about sharing is that it fosters a cycle of communication between people of all ages and walks of life with with diverse personal and professional experiences. This was my first time participating in an event like this, and being here I truly felt our company’s objective, “reversing the communication deficiency of modern day Japan with sharehouses”, in action.</p>
<p>Another great thing about sharehouses is reflected in its management philosophy on how they would like their residents to live. The world that Share Design has created for this house is a warm, friendly place full of laughter. Take the opportunity to start a new lifestyle for yourself at Share Residence Nishifunabashi.</p>

<p>The popularity of sharehouses has begun to spread across the country in recent years. I’m sure there are many of you out there interested in the concept, yet feel uneasy at the prospect of living together with people you’ve never met before.</p>
<p>What’s it like to live in a sharehouse? What kind of people live there? We took it upon ourselves to answer these questions by stopping by a sharehouse to show you!</p>
<p>We visited <span style="color: #0000ff;"><a title="「STYLIO WITH KAMIIKEDAI」 " href="https://tokyosharehouse.com/eng/house/detail/1335/" target="_blank" class="broken_link"><span style="color: #0000ff;"><span style="font-family: meiryo;">STYLIO WITH KAMIIKEDAI</span></span></a></span>, a sharehouse in the lively Ota ward of Tokyo.<br /> The sharehouse is a community within which residents can value food and cuisine, and enjoy each others company in the communal ‘Share Dining’ area. The house’s one year anniversary party was held recently with 35 attendees, with residents and house administrators alike mingling together.</p>
<p>Let’s have a look at how the party went down!</p>

<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1521.jpg"><img alt="__DSC_1521" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1521.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Preparing food for the party. When hosting a party people tend to rely on supermarket-bought platters or a catering service, but everything here is homemade by the housemates in their professional grade kitchen. This fellow has been enticed over to the table by a wonderful aroma. Can’t wait to see what this dish turns out like!</p>
<p><a style="line-height: 1.5em;" href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_15001.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38202" alt="DSC_1500" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_15001.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
</div>
<p>Guests have brought their favorite alcoholic beverages for the feast.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_15011.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-38203" alt="DSC_1501" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_15011.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>People start to gather in the dining hall one after another. Here’s a shot of some guests with their drink of choice.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1522.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37966" alt="__DSC_1522" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1522.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Meanwhile, the food is ready! The table has been laid out in decadence without anyone noticing.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1533.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37967" alt="__DSC_1533" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1533.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The table is garnished with paella, sauteed meat and more. This is genuine party food!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1593.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37968" alt="__DSC_1593" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1593.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>This dish looks as though it could be served at a French restaurant. Being able to enjoy such fine food at home is one of the unique things about living in a sharehouse.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1721.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37973" alt="__DSC_1721" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1721.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>With all of the dishes served, the party officially begins with a greeting from the 2nd housemate to move into the house. Everybody toasts.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1722.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37974" alt="__DSC_1722" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1722.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Cheers! The sound of reverberating glass echoes the room. It’s a moment of supreme bliss.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_6794.jpg"><img alt="__DSC_6794" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_6794.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Previous housemates also show their faces at the party, glad to be reunited with everyone once more.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1733.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37975" alt="__DSC_1733" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1733.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The room is filled with smiles and laughter. Only in a sharehouse will you find musicians, company workers and even students all living together.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1751.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37976" alt="__DSC_1751" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_1751.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>It’s exciting just to watch the scene unfolding before me. After devouring the main course, it’s time for what everyone has been waiting for.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_6743.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37977" alt="__DSC_6743" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_6743.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>You guessed it, it’s dessert time! Heaven for sweet tooths male and female alike. This guy is trying to remove hardened chocolate from a balloon. A few faces in the audience are covering their ears in preparation for the inevitable burst. What a charming sight.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_6840.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-37982" alt="__DSC_6840" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_6840.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>There are smiles all around. Even though everyone is full from the delicious dinner had, there is always room for dessert.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_11.jpg"><img alt="__DSC_11" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_11.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Here’s a group shot in commemoration of the anniversary with everyone signing the ‘S’ from ‘STYLIO WITH KAMIIKEDAI’ with their hands. Personalities come out in this photo! Haha.</p>
<p><a style="line-height: 1.5em;" href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_7097.jpg"><img alt="_DSC_7097" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_7097.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Everybody helps clean up. Laughing and bantering with housemates turns the most mundane of chores into fun-filled times.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_7183.jpg"><img alt="_DSC_7183" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_7183.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>At the end of the party we have the honor of watching a performance by a housemate with a beautiful voice.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_7189.jpg"><img alt="_DSC_7189" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_7189.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The singer improvised when requests were shouted out by the crowd, met with cheers of joy, and also scattered laughter when lyrics were mistakenly sung. The whole performance was enjoyed in harmony.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_7185.jpg"><img alt="_DSC_7185" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/DSC_7185.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>After the party time was spent chilling out before the event drew to a close. Housemates lulled to sleep by the music wandered sleepily up to their rooms and those who still wanted to talk stayed down drinking and talking together. I would like to thank everyone who made this event possible today for all of their efforts!</p>
<p> </p>
<p>The Japanese character for food is ‘食’, which is made up of the characters for person (人) and good (良) to mean ‘making a person better’. Food makes people better!</p>
<p>I good a good sense of the vibe of the house by my visit to STYLIO WITH KAMIIKEDAI.</p>
<p>Of course, not all days will be like this one, but I believe that the best thing about sharehouses is being able to talk to someone when you feel like talking and sharing what you are good at with the others in the house.</p>
<p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">The house is currently running a free-rent campaign for new residents signing their contracts before the end of June and moving in before the end of July, offering one month of free rent. Feel free to contact the house and find out more if you’re interested in living here.<br /> </span></p>
<p><span style="line-height: 1.5em;">I will continue in my efforts to show the real world of sharehouses to our readers by covering more sharehouse events and sharehouse lifestyle articles in the future.<br /> </span></p>

<p>The concept of shared living is changing with the times day by day. Communities are being forged beyond the gates of a single house.</p>
<p>Media exposure is increasing and so has public familiarity with sharehouses. In obstacle to this is the anxiety or uneasiness of people who are interested in living in a sharehouse, yet are worried about what kind of people they will be living with and what kind of lifestyle they will lead. It would be very unfortunate for someone to move in and find that their initial image of what life would be like differs drastically from the realities of sharehouse life.</p>
<p>「<span style="color: #0000ff;">OPEN SHARE</span>」OPEN SHARE was held in order to solve these kinds of problems as an event in which tenants from 10 different sharehouses and people interested in living in them gathered together to network and mingle in an open, fun environment.</p>
<p>The setting for OPEN SHARE was a place called ‘iioffice’ (Good Office), a share office and co-working area run by <span style="color: #0000ff;"><a href="http://liginc.co.jp/"><span style="color: #0000ff;">LIG</span></a></span>. Inside is an at-home vibe not unlike that of a sharehouse, and a comfortable, relaxing environment in which to work. It is a very ‘good office’, just as the name tells us.</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
<p>Let’s have a closer look at the OPEN SHARE event and experience a little bit of sharehouse life in this open setting!</p>
<p> </p>
<div><span id="more-35704"></span></div>
<div><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_16.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36062" alt="open_16" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_16.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></div>
<div>
<p>Participants begin to show up one after another as the start time draws near. After passing through reception they head to their tables with a welcome drink in hand. The conversation around us is livening up.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_02.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36048" alt="open_02" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_02.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>On the wall is a gallery of photos from each sharehouse. Prospective tenants and residents of other houses gaze at the photos and are surprised and interested at what goes on at some of the houses. It’s a very interesting corner.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_01.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36047" alt="open_01" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_01.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The proceedings begin with an introduction about OPEN SHARE from Ayuko Fukusawa, an announcer for「<a href="http://sharehouse.tv/"><span style="color: #0000ff;">SHAREHOUSE.TV</span></a>」, a news media outlet run by our company. She is also acting as MC for the night and works the crowd with ease. At last, the event begins.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_25.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36084" alt="open_25" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_25.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Everybody gets together for a toast. It looks like everyone is having a relaxing, fun time. This photo was taken by SharePlace Den-en-Chofu resident Nozo. He has allowed us to use a few others, also. One big merit of sharehouses is that people of all occupations and walks of life call sharehouses home and we can make the most of their talents in times like these.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_20.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36079" alt="open_20" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_20.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>We return back to our tables for a pleasant chat. After introducing ourselves the conversation made way for a variety of topics, including the reason why people were living in sharehouses and questions about love inside the houses. Sharehouse residents answered the questions based upon their own experiences honestly and the mystery of sharehouse life began to be unraveled.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_17.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36076" alt="open_17" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_17.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Here we listen to the administrator and mascot Matsuzaki about ‘iioffice’. What impressed me was that the venue can accommodate 200 guests in its event space and that it has a giant kitchen!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_22.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36081" alt="open_22" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_22.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Sharehouse residents work hard to provide the guests with delicious food and bring the event up a notch. Thanks for the food guys.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_21.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36080" alt="open_21" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_21.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Good coffee was also provided. When lovers of coffee get together the conversation takes off and there are smiles all around.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_24.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36083" alt="open_24" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_24.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Oh my! I found someone in the kitchen who looks like he is planning something! I caught him red-handed with a tray full of chicken! If the shouts of delight from the event room shortly after are any indication, there’s no need to say they were devoured gleefully by the guests.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_03.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36049" alt="open_03" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_03.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The scene changes and it is now presentation time. The top batter is one of our own. Being able to look over the history of the fluid sharehouse industry through a portal site makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_04.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36050" alt="open_04" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_04.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Now we get to take a closer look at all the sharehouses we’ve been interested in. First is 「<span style="color: #0000ff;"><a href="https://tokyosharehouse.com/eng/house/detail/1335/" target="_blank" class="broken_link"><span style="color: #0000ff;">Stylio with Kamiikedai</span></a></span>」’s Ms. Imano! The concept of the property is ‘A sharehouse connecting people with the neighborhood through food’. Enjoy cooking and eating together with others. You can enjoy a truly sharehouse-only experience doing things like talking over dinner about what to cook together with your sharemates the next weekend.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/kamiikedai007.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36156" alt="kamiikedai007" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/kamiikedai007.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Just by standing in the house&#8217;s amazing kitchen even the worst cook will be rolling up their sleeves getting a few pointers from more seasoned chefs, creating unique and delicious recipes of their own. I&#8217;ll never forget the taste of the curry and rice dish residents made for us when we visited on a sharehouse bus tour.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_05.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36051" alt="open_05" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_05.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Ms. Imano uses「<a title="シェアハウスTV" href="http://sharehouse.tv/">SHAREHOUSE.TV</a>」like a pro in her property introduction! It&#8217;s easy to grasp an understanding of the atmosphere of a sharehouse when you&#8217;re watching it play out right in front of you.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_07.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36053" alt="open_07" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_07.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<div>Next is Mr. Takeyari from 「<span style="color: #0000ff;"><a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20151125225350/http://tokyosharehouse.com:80/eng/house/detail/1537/" target="_blank" class="broken_link"><span style="color: #0000ff;">SharePlace Den-en-Chofu South</span></a></span>], a house 3-minutes walk to the Tama river where you can enjoy outdoor activities such as jogging or cycling on your off days. The property, with an attractive community atmosphere, can house 73 residents and boasts a lounge modelled on a river terrace, a theatre room and breezy rooftop area where you can try your hand at cultivating a vegetable patch. This refreshing sharehouse allows you to get in touch with nature while at the same time living in the city.</div>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_08.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36054" alt="open_08" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_08.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Next we have a guy interested in all things brainy Ms. Arakawa from SharePlace Komazawa! This is a 15-storey tower sharehouse with a 100m2 common room and 4 differently themed lounge areas. It&#8217;s located near chic neighbourhoods like Sangenchaya, Shibuya and Jiyugaoka and is still a relatively newly built property. With its 4 themed lounge areas it&#8217;s a new and exciting design that feels like 4 different sharehouse combined in 1.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_09.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36055" alt="open_09" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_09.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>This dashing fellow is Disneyland staff Mr. Takei of「<span style="color: #0000ff;"><a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20140702120309/http://tokyosharehouse.com/jpn/house/detail/806/" target="_blank" class="broken_link"><span style="color: #0000ff;">PLENDY-SHARE Urayasu</span></a></span>」!This is a newly renovated sharehouse with a wooden decked terrace and natural-themed living area to relieve your mind, body and soul. We hear it&#8217;s quite something to spend your days looking out over the Disneyland theme park and the Old Edo River.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_11.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36057" alt="open_11" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_11.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>「<span style="color: #0000ff;"><a href="https://web.archive.org/web/20150401190839/http://tokyosharehouse.com/jpn/house/detail/1355/" target="_blank" class="broken_link"><span style="color: #0000ff;">PLENDY-SHARE Higashi-Urawa</span></a></span>」’s cute Ms. Notchi takes the stage in a fashion as if to say ‘It’s about time!” This house is all about living a healthy lifestyle in exercise and diet. They have teamed up with a local farmer in Okayama prefecture today to supply the OPEN SHARE party with fresh vegetables. The house is also apparently home to many lovely ladies, but I can’t say for sure.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_15.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36061" alt="open_15" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_15.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Energetic conversation starts up once again. People talk about properties that caught their interest, ask questions about sharehouse life and exchange social media information.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_23.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36082" alt="open_23" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_23.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Devouring delicious, fresh vegetables in earnest&#8230;.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_26.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36085" alt="open_26" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_26.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>&#8230;but it’s already time to go. Here’s a group shot to end the night that went by so fast. Time flies when you’re having fun.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_28.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36087" alt="open_28" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_28.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The staff at OPEN SHARE. Everyone looks lovely in their matching hoodies. These guys worked great together from the planning stage to the preparation of the venue, and even the cleaning afterwards. Good job guys. Thank you for everything!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_29.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-36088" alt="open_29" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/03/open_29.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>And lastly, an iioffice pose. Thanks guys! This really is a good office.</p>
<p> </p>
<div>Alright, what did you think of OPEN SHARE, the event where participants could get a feel for what sharehouses are all about in a free and open environment? It’s a good idea and also beneficial to all involved to connect people thinking about the sharehouse life with those currently living in one, and helps in cultivating even better sharehouse lifestyles for everyone.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Through this event I realised that when leaving home to live on your own, having sharehouses there as an option is a very good thing. Living in a sharehouse is of course not all fun and games, however you may just find somewhere to call home and friends to call family. Just as one guest at the event told us, “It’s like having a whole other family in Tokyo”.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>This is why that it is said that living with others has great influence over one’s lifestyle. For those of you thinking about the share life, these kinds of events at which current residents gather are perfect for you. Getting to know the people of a house and its atmosphere will deepen your image of what living in a sharehouse is like. As events like these are rather rare, I’ll say it again &#8211; Thank you so much to the people at iioffice and everyone responsible for a great night!</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I myself will continue in my efforts working towards more places for sharehouse residents and potential sharemates can meet and interact in a relaxed and casual manner, so please look forward to the next event!</div>

<p><strong></strong>Here is the second part to the Sharehouse Bus Tour series. In the previous article we stopped by Crann Terrace Kugahara with its amazing shared facilities including a terrace and karaoke room, and Stylio With Kamiikedai with its giant kitchen and stylish living room.</p>
<p>If you missed Part 1 you can read it here! → <span style="color: #0000ff;"><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/?p=33422&#038;lang=en"><span style="color: #0000ff;">「Sharehouse Bus Tour 【ROUND ONE】: Part 1」</span></a></span></p>
<p>We certainly had our fill of food in Part 1, but this tour is just getting started! Perhaps you will find your dream sharehouse among the properties we visit next. Think about where you would like to live as you read on and enjoy the article from a slightly different angle.</p>
<p>Without further ado let;s get on to Part 2!</p>

<div><span id="more-33570"></span></div>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour011.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33796" alt="bustour011" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour011.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The next sharehouse we will check out is <span style="color: #0000ff;"><a href="https://tokyosharehouse.com/eng/house/detail/1520/" class="broken_link"><span style="color: #0000ff;">「Comfort Kamata」</span></a></span>. This house is run by Oak House, seasoned professionals in the sharehouse industry taking care of many other large-scale properties. Comfort Kamata is one of these being able to house 260 residents. We start the tour by hearing what the staff from Oak House have to say. There are people fervently taking notes while listening.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour006.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33797" alt="bustour006" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour006.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>We move onto the living room. Everyone is expectedly a little nervous at the prospect of a living room for 260 people.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour012.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33798" alt="bustour012" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour012.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>We headed inside and a living room arranged as though it was a hotel lobby appeared before our eyes. The room gives more of a hotel-like impression than that of a sharehouse, however the fact that its residents are all good friends sets it apart from a hotel environment.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0041.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33799" alt="bustour004" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0041.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The kitchen is large enough to fit all 20 of the tour participants. We even bumped into a few residents in the middle of their cooking.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0021.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33800" alt="bustour002" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0021.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Oak House properties are famous for housing people from around the world. These clocks tell the time in different countries. The bottom right clock is labelled Kamata. You can tell that this house is full of international character.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour013.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33801" alt="bustour013" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour013.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>One good thing about living in a large-scale sharehouse is that you can interact with people working in a variety of different areas. This resident works at a nail salon and is giving another housemate a manicure. It’d be great to make these kind of connections!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0151.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33803" alt="bustour015" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0151.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>We continue on, moving in one big group. Crowding is not a problem as the hallway is long and spacious. At the end of the road we find&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0141.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33804" alt="bustour014" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0141.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>a studio! This room is complete with a genuine drum set, amps and even a keyboard. There are apparently quite a few bands that have been created among housemates, and some have performed at music festivals before. People in sharehouses achieve great things!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0051.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33805" alt="bustour005" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0051.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>We tour the rest of the house and return to the entrance. It really is just like a hotel lobby.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour001.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33806" alt="bustour001" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour001.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Events are held quite frequently. One thing that stands out to me in particular is the English lessons held by one of the English-speaking housemates. It seems like this house has everything, doesn’t it? It wouldn’t be over-exaggerating to say that that is the biggest merit of a large-scale sharehouse. Thank you to everyone at Oak House!</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0101.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33807" alt="bustour010" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0101.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>At last we’ve reached our final sharehouse, <a href="https://tokyosharehouse.com/eng/house/detail/1824/" class="broken_link"><span style="color: #0000ff;">「Hillside Terrace Yokohama」</span></a> in Yokohama. This is the only newly constructed house in the tour this time around. Heading inside we find an almost holiday house-like atmosphere that leaves you feeling like you are on vacation in a foreign country somewhere.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0162.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33809" alt="bustour016" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0162.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The skylights and ceiling fan also work together to create that holiday house atmosphere. It’s all very elegant and stylish.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0172.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33811" alt="bustour017" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0172.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>There is even a yoga studio on the top floor. There is apparently a yoga instructor among the housemates who periodically holds classes.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0181.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33812" alt="bustour018" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0181.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>We heading up a slight incline and through a tunnel of trees that wouldn’t be out of place in a movie. The house is waiting for us at the other end.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour008.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33813" alt="bustour008" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour008.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>The tour members let out small gasps in awe once we stepped through the entrance, and we all felt like we had mistakenly stumbled into another world.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0091.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33814" alt="bustour009" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0091.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>One element helping to create the holiday house vibe is this record player. It is rare these days to have the equipment to play LPs, and one could be caught up in the atmosphere and become totally immersed in another unique world.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0191.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33815" alt="bustour019" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0191.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Moving on to the living room we find this interesting piece. It caught the eye of one gentleman&#8230;</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0201.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33816" alt="bustour020" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0201.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>who immediately wanted to climb it. He climbs up to the 2nd floor instead of using the stairs.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0211.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33817" alt="bustour021" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0211.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>He gets there in one piece. It can be quite addictive as this wall gives you a bit of exercise as well as a sense of accomplishment. I don’t even need to tell you that the guys in the group all became fixated on the wall.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0222.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33819" alt="bustour022" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0222.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>By the 4th house the tour members have all let down their guard and are enjoying themselves as if they were housemates. This shot looks like a still from a Japanese drama or something.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0241.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33824" alt="bustour024" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0241.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>There’s also a couple chatting together quite elegantly on the terrace. Everyone is having a good time.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0235.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33827" alt="bustour023" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour0235.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>A yoga pose is demonstrated for us in the yoga studio. Refresh yourself by looking out at the trees as you perform your yoga poses. I’m getting relaxed just thinking about it.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour025.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33826" alt="bustour025" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour025.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>At the end of the tour we sat down for a chat with the management company. The conversation was lively, with topics including which sharehouse one wants to live in and which was the best house of the day. Everyone is looking for something different in a sharehouse, and in order to cater for these various needs unique and individual sharehouses, much like the ones we checked out today, are popping up one after the other.</p>
<p><a href="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour026.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-33829" alt="bustour026" src="http://blog.tokyosharehouse.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/bustour026.jpg" width="840" height="560" /></a></p>
<p>Everyone seemed tired out on the way home and used the bus ride to rest. According to the questionnaire we handed out all participants were fully satisfied with the tour, which was pleasing to hear. It’s all thanks to the staff of the companies managing such charming and unique sharehouses. Thank you so much to everyone who cooperated with us on this tour!</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14px; line-height: 1.5em;"><br /> So, what did you think of the bus tour? Just by checking out 4 houses I became even more aware that there are many different types of houses out there.<br /> </span></p>
<p>One thing I can say for certain is that the sharehouse lifestyle is gaining popularity as a way to experience things that you just can’t by living alone or at home with your folks. The tour participants already living in sharehouse accommodation told us that they don’t think they could ever return to living alone.</p>
<p>That’s how much appeal the sharehouse lifestyle has. There are of course limitations and demerits, however I am sure anyone will be able to find the perfect house for them with merits that override these things. The participants of the bus tour each too particular liking to different houses, and I think that’s normal.</p>
<p>I hope to see you in future for the third round of our sharehouse bus tour!</p>
